Symposium to preserve Old City of Sanaa to kick off in April

SANAA, April 18 (YPA) – The Culture Ministry in the National Salvation Government is to organize late in April the first symposium to preserve the Old Sanaa City under the slogan “Together to preserve Sanaa history”.

In a press statement on Wednesday, Minister of Culture Abdullah Ahmad Al-Kabsi said the symposium, which will last for three days, aims to secure sustainable protection to the Old City as a global human heritage.

The historic city of Sanaa has been subjected to several raids by the Saudi-led coalition aircrafts, which destroyed a number of houses and caused damage to more than 1920 houses from their historic homes.
