Naim Qassem: Yemen takes historic stance towards Gaza despite Israeli airstrikes

BEIRUT, Aug. 25 (YPA) – Sheikh Naim Qassem, Secretary-General of the Lebanese Hezbollah, affirmed on Monday that Yemen “is taking a heroic and exceptional stand alongside Palestine”.

Qassem said in a televised speech that this stance would be recorded in the pages of history as a rare example of solidarity and resistance.

“Israel bombed Yemen, but, as usual, it targeted civilian facilities and killed civilians,” he added. The Israeli entity represents the epicenter of criminality in the region and continues to commit genocide in full view of the world.”

Sheikh Qassem noted that Yemen’s steadfastness in the face of Israeli attacks reflected a high spirit of sacrifice and defiance,” believing that this stance would strengthen the unity of the Axis of Resistance in confronting what he described as “the Zionist-American project in the region”.
