Hadi’s gov’t officially accuses UAE of supporting coup d’état in Aden

RIYADH, Aug. 21 (YPA) – Saudi-led coalition backed Government ” Hadi’s government accused the United Arab Emirates (UAE) of supporting and financing what it called a coup d’état in the occupied city of Aden. The move came during a meeting in the Saudi capital Riyadh held on Tuesday.

The exiled Hadi’s government has stressed the fight against what it calls an armed rebellion by all means authorized by the constitution and the law, in order to bring an end to the rebellion and normalize the situation in Aden.

It blamed the UAE for the armed rebellion of the so-called Transitional Council (STC) and the bloodshed and loss of life.

The meeting also accused the UAE-backed militias of undermining State institutions, tearing the social fabric, endangering local and regional peace and security, increasing the threat of violent and extremist groups and exacerbating the human suffering of citizens, in contrary to international law, Security Council resolutions and coalition objectives.

The coalition backed government called on the UAE leadership to end to all forms of support and funding for Southern transitional Council militias.
