Bahrain apologizes for hosting upcoming Arab summit because of Yemeni missiles

SANAA, April 16 (YPA) – Bahrain announced its apology for hosting  the 30th Arab summit due to fear of Yemeni missiles, which forced the Saudi authorities to transfer the headquarters of the  29th Arab summit from Riyadh to Dhahran city in Dammam because of the panic left by Yemeni missiles in different cities of Saudi Arabia.

According to Arab Maghreb sources, Tunisian President Beji Caid Essebsi, who announced his country’s readiness to host the 30th Arab summit, joked in a closed session: “No problem, come to Tunisia, Tunisia is far from the Houthi missiles.”

At the summit, Saudi Foreign Minister Adel al-Jubeir claimed that transferring the headquarters of the Arab summit from the capital Riyadh to the eastern city of Dammam was not a fear of Yemeni ballistic missiles and that it was transferred to Dammam as a city close to the countries that participated in the summit.
