IYC organizes trainning course on energy governance in Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 8 (YPA) – The International Youth Council – Yemen (IYC), within the Environment, Energy and Climate Change Program, organized on Thursday a training course entitled “Energy Resources Governance in Yemen” for 40 trainees, including engineers, researchers and academics.

At the beginning of the course, the trainer Eng. Talal Mahmoud presented an overview of the concept of governance, its emergence and its relationship to the good governance. He touched on the governance of energy sources and the factors influencing it, reviewing the most successful experiences of some developed countries in the field of energy governance.

During the course, the trainees were divided into five working groups, namely political, economic, environmental, social and scientific research, which discussed a number of proposals and recommendations on how to apply the energy resources governance in Yemen and its objectives, as well as main challenges facing the energy governance in the country.
