UAE-backed militias start deployment to complete control of Abyan

ABYAN, Aug. 6 (YPA) – Militias of the so-called security belt forces loyal to the UAE in Abyan province, southern Yemen, on Tuesday carried out an extensive deployment in al-Mahfad district.

According to sources, the move came under the directives of Saudi-led coalition and the Southern Transitional Council’s leadership loyal to the UAE, and aimed at completing the control over the joints of the state and pursuing citizens from the northern provinces for deporting them from the south and looting their property.

The security belt militia carried out this campaign under the slogan of pursuing terrorist elements in order to gain international support, the sources added.
