UAE militias attack citizens’ houses in Abyan

ABYAN, July 20 (YPA) – A militant was killed on Saturday in clashes between the UAE -backed militias and tribal gunman in Yemen’s Abyan province, sources said.

The clashes happened in Modayah district after the militias had raided on citizens houses.

On Friday, four members of the militias were killed in an attack carried out by militants on a security checking point in the same district.

Modayah district has seen conflicts and clashes between coalition-backed mercenaries and armed groups for taking over the province, sources said.
