SANAA, June 25 (YPA) – The Yemeni Parliament on Tuesday continued to hold its meetings in the capital Sanaa under the chairmanship of the Parliament Speaker Yahya al-Ra’i.
During its meeting, the Parliament listened to the memorandum of President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi al-Mashat concerning a request to postpone the ratification of the protocol and a draft law on the Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In this regard, the Parliament approved to mandate the speaker to prepare and submit an explanatory reply to President of the Supreme Political Council on the observations made by the parliament members.
On another hand, the Parliament also listened to a question submitted by the parliamentarian Osama Mohammed Qassim Omar to Ministers of Electricity, Finance and Local Administration on the fate of Hodeidah Fund and the amounts allocated for the purchase of diesel fuel for the operation of electricity in Hodeidah.
The Parliament held a general debate on a number of issues of concern to citizens at the present time, including investment in the field of electricity.
