UAE to hand over secret prisons in Yemen’s south to ex-president’s nephew

SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) is to hand over the management of its secret prisons in south to Brigadier Yahya Mohammed Abdullah Saleh, former deputy of the National Security, informed sources said.

The UAE is intending to abandon the southern leaders that worked with it and carried out its colonial agenda in Aden and the southern governorates of Yemen, the sources stated.

Abu Dhabi added the task of running its secret prisons in Aden and the southern provinces to Ammar Saleh, as well as setting up a new security intelligence service based in Be’er Ahmed in Aden.
