Coalition imposes more restrictions on civilian air traffic in Aden

ADEN, May 29 (YPA) – United Arab Emirates (UAE) occupation forces have cancelled several flights of Yemeni airlines to Aden for the second consecutive day.

Queen Bilqis Airways, a major Yemeni airline company, had to cancel two flights on the Khartoum-Aden line and the Aden-Amman line, because it did not obtain clearances from the “coalition operations room”, the company said in a statement issued on Tuesday.

Yemeni Airways announced that it was forced to fly a passenger-free flight from Sayoun airport to Queen Alia Airport in Amman, Jordan on Tuesday, as a result of the alliance’s cancellation of the Monday flight permit.

The Yemeni airline in Aden has already announced the cancellation of flights due to its failure to obtain operating permits from coalition operations.

It should be noted that the occupation forces have previously prevented the planes belonging to the Hadi administration from landing in Yemeni territory, and forced them to return to Riyadh.

The delegation of the Saudi-backed puppet government insisted on the closure of Sana’a Airport in the Sweden negotiations, where the delegation of the Hadi government stipulated that no direct flights from Sana’a should take off, and that they should land at Sayoun airport for inspection when going and returning.

However, the exiled Hadi government has no way of enforcing this rule, as it has no control whatsoever over airports in the occupied governorates in the south of Yemen. These strategic locations are firm under control of Emirati occupation forces.
