Maduro: America continues its provocative actions towards Venezuela

SANAA, May 15 (YPA) – Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro said that the United States continues its provocative actions towards Venezuela and attempts to test its readiness for such actions, stressing that the Venezuelan army is ready to face any attempts to target the country.

“A US Coast Guard vessel entered the territorial waters of our country but soon left after the Venezuelan navy intercepted it,” Maduro was quoted as saying during a meeting with military servicemen.

Maduro said that the US ship, USC James, entered the economic waters of Venezuela and approached 14 miles from the port of Guerra and immediately a Venezuelan patrol boat headed towards it, forcing it to leave, saying it was “a victory for international law and for peace and the Venezuelan military morals.”
