Pro-Coalition officer kidnapped as clashes erupted between coalition rival militia in al-Khokha

HODEIDAH, Feb. 28 (YPA) – At least 13 soldiers and officers were killed on Thursday in clashes between the Saudi-led militias, Local sources in al-khokha district, local sources told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the sources, the clashes broke out after an officer loyal to the coalition was kidnapped.

The sources pointed out that the clashes erupted as a result for the storming of the so-called Thamain elite to the Special Forces camp in the district.

The clashes resulted in the kidnapping of Commander of the Special Forces loyal to the alliance Brigadier General Sadiq Attieh, one of the sources said.

The sources indicated that the clashes started because of division of the qat taxes and escalated to clashes with firearms.
