Moscow calls for international probe into coalition crimes  in Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 10 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation on Friday condemned the killing of Yemeni children in Saada province, northern Yemen by the Saudi-led coalition air strikes, calling for an international probe into coalition’s crimes in Yemen.

In a statement obtained by Yemen Press Agency, the ministry expressed serious concern over the death of a number of civilians in Yemen as a result of Saudi-led airstrikes that hit a school bus in the market of Dhahyan district on Thursday.

“Moscow is deeply concerned about what is going on in Yemen from the senseless war, which continues to kill the innocent civilians, the statement read.

” With the recent tragedy which resulted in the death of a number of citizens, including children, an international probe must be conducted and those perpetrators should be held accountable,” the statement added.

It also called on the parties to the conflict in Yemen to adhere strictly to international humanitarian law and to take urgent measures to avoid the citizens from similar tragic incidents in the future.
