Palestinian Fatwa Council warns of exacerbating Zionist attacks

SANAA, April 8 (YPA) –  Palestinian Supreme Fatwa Council called on the people of al-Quds and everyone who can reach the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to go to it, to miss the opportunity for the extremist settlers, warning of the repercussions of the occupation authorities and settlers’ insistence on storming Al-Aqsa, under the pretext of Jewish holidays and others.

The Council condemned the occupation authorities’ continued demolition of Palestinian homes and installations, and targeting Jerusalem’s institutions and economic sectors, under the pretext of non-licensing, noting that since the occupation of the city in 1967, the occupation forces have demolished thousands of homes in Al-Quds, in order to control and Judaize Al-Quds, and tighten the screws on its original inhabitants, through a series of arbitrary decisions and actions.

The council denounced the occupation authorities ’uprooting of dozens of olive trees in Bethlehem, in the southern occupied West Bank, in preparation for the increase in settlement construction there, encircling and strangling Palestinian Arab neighborhoods, preventing communication between them and the rest of the West Bank, and in flagrant violation of the rights of the Palestinian people.

The Council also condemned the field executions against the defenseless Palestinian people, stemming from the brutality of the Israeli occupation, the most recent of which was the martyr Osama Mansour from the Bedouin village.

The Council held the Zionist enemy authorities fully responsible for the lives of the hunger striking prisoners, who are subjected to the most heinous forms of abuse, oppression and assault on their freedom, calling on the international community to take serious and effective action to ensure the implementation of the international legitimacy decisions regarding Palestine.
