American helicopter crashed in Al-Shaddadi in eastern Syria

SANAA, Jan. 19 (YPA) – A US army helicopter landed inside the oil city of Al-Shaddadi, south of Hasaka, in northeastern Syria, local sources said.

“An Apache helicopter landed suddenly at the illegal base set up by the US occupation army in the “Al-Jussa Oil Fields Directorate” near the 200 oil workers’ residences in the city of Al-Shaddadi,” Media in Hasaka reported, citing local sources.

The sources continued that the plane hit the road near the camp inside the base, during the refueling operation. It was clearly damaged and casualties have been reported.

The sources indicated that the US occupation forces reinforced the guard around the base after the incident, and hit a cordon around the crash area.

The sources confirmed that the illegal American base  has witnessed heavy air traffic recently, in conjunction with its increased activity in transferring the detainees of the terrorist organization “ISIS” from the central and al-Sinaa prisons in the vicinity of the city of Hasaka, to the area of Al-Shaddadi and from there to Badia al-Tanf, where the illegal American base on the Syrian-Iraqi-Jordanian border triangle.
