Spain declares state of health emergency due to Coronavirus

SANAA, Oct. 26 (YPA) – The Spanish government on Sunday decided to declare a state of health emergency and curfew across the country except the Canary Islands, in an effort to control the spread of the Coronavirus  (COVID-190 in the country.

 

“The curfew will start from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m., allowing areas to approximate or delay by one hour depending on local conditions,” the government said in a brief statement.

 

The number of “Covid-19” infections in Spain exceeded the threshold of 110,372, becoming the first European country and the sixth in the world to record this number of patients, with more than 34,752 deaths.

 

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez confirmed that “the state of health emergency will take effect until next May”.
