Chaos ravages mercenaries’ forces at border fronts

SANAA, Aug. 8 (YPA) – Clashes broke out between the commander of the 9th Border Guards Brigade loyal to coalition-backed government Forces “Abu Yusuf” and the staff officer of the Brigade, Haitham al-Kholani, after an assassination attempt targets Abu Yusuf at border fronts with Saudi Arabia.

According to Yemen News Portal, the commander of the 9th Border Guard Brigade survived an assassination attempt at the Fars 10 checkpoint in the Ajashir area, but three of his companions were seriously wounded.

The sources added that al-Kholani was accused of being behind the assassination after differences between the two sides.

The sources pointed out that the commander of the axis and the commander of the 1st Brigade border guards Brigadier General Heikal Hantaf intervened and stop the confrontations.

Haitham al-Kholani , Staff of officer of the brigade was held in custody along with his companions  in the area of Al-Qafal, where the headquarters of Hantaf .

The sources also pointed out that the commander of the brigade “Abu Yusuf” left for his area in Al-Yatma and refused to return until the issue was resolved once and for all.
