Meteorological Center predicts continuation of rainfall in most parts of country

SANAA, Aug. 4 (YPA) – The National Meteorological Center on Tuesday predicted that the weather instability state will continue with varying intensity rains in large parts of the country within the next 24 hours.

The Center stated in its weather forecast that it expected moderate to heavy rain accompanied by thunderstorms and high-speed winds on large parts of the mountainous hills from Saada province in the north to Taiz and Lahj provinces in the south, especially on the provinces of Mahweet, Hajjah, Saada, Amran.

It also expected rainfall on the internal plateaux and desert areas of the provinces of Mahra, Hadramout, Shabwa, Abyan, Marib and Jawf.

The Center warned citizens in the areas where rain is expected, especially vehicle drivers, from being in the bottoms of valleys and flood streams, calling for the necessary precautions to be taken from the rockslides and mudslides and the decrease in the range of horizontal visibility on the roads.
