SOCOTRA, July 26 (YPA) – The UAE-backed Southern Transitional Council (STC)’s militia on Sunday announced its rebellion against the Saudi occupation forces on the island of Socotra.
According to local sources in al-Jazeera, the leader of the Hadeboh axis, who was appointed by the STC, Ahmed Abdullah Abu Ahmed, refused Saudi Arabia’s invitation to come to Riyadh.
The sources explained that the Saudi’s call for the STC leader came following the takeover of Hadeboh city, and the kidnappings of a number of military leaders loyal to the Islah party.
In June, the “STC” militias took control of the city of Hadeboh, the capital of Socotra island, with the complicity of Saudi forces after they withdrew from all military posts at the entrances to the city.
