FAO holds meeting to introduce agricultural livelihood support project in Sanaa

SANAA, Jan. 15 (YPA) – The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) on Wednesday held a meeting for partners in the Ministry of Agriculture and Irrigation, its offices, and local partners.

The meeting, attended by 40 participants from the agricultural offices in the provinces and representatives of civil society organizations, discussed the project to support agricultural livelihoods for the most vulnerable families in Yemen, which is implemented by FAO and funded by the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA).

The meeting aimed at introducing the participants to the project activities and objectives, the criteria for selecting the targeted people, and the follow-up and evaluation mechanism, as well as the role of the project partners in the implementation through the agreed general framework to serve the goals and programs of sustainable development.
