Iranian FM says Saudi-UAE coalition seeks to divide Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 14 (YPA) – “Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates coalition” are seeking to divide Yemen after being defeated by the Yemeni people’s steadfastness, the Iranian Foreign Ministry said in a press statement on Wednesday.

The ministry spokesman Abbas Mousavi said that a Saudi-UAE’s plan to divide Yemen is suspicious conspiracy, affirming that Iran stands alongside with Yemen’s unity.

Mousavi hoped that “Iran may play a role to stop the war being launched by the Saudi-UAE coalition on the Yemeni people.

Mousavi added “the Yemeni parties and groups can reach a Yemeni-Yemeni dialogue to overcome crises and form a comprehensive government governing all parts of Yemen.”
