Tunisian forces kill 3 of Daesh members near border with Algeria
SANAA, March 19 (YPA) – Tunisian special forces on Tuesday killed three Takfirin from Daesh after clashes in a mountainous area near the Algerian border.
According to Reuters, National Guard spokesman Colonel Hossam al-Jababli said “Our forces killed three terrorists suspected of belonging to Daesh after clashes in the Salloum mountains in Kasserine.”
The operation comes days after a group posted pictures of Takfirin carrying weapons in a mountainous area where they have been hiding for years.
Some Takfirin are working in remote areas near the border with Algeria.
Tunisia suffered three major attacks in 2015, two of which targeted tourists and the third was the presidential guard in the capital, and the Taqfir group claimed responsibility for the three attacks.
