Griffith announces failure plan to launch major war in Hodeidah
SANAA, March 20 (YPA) – The plan to ignite a large-scale war in the city of Hodeidah, which was hinted at by the British and US foreign ministries a few days ago, fell by reopening the file of the agreement Sweden and the implementation of the first phase of the plan to redeploy the forces of the parties in the city.
Special envoy to Yemen, Martin Griffith, announced on Tuesday that constructive discussions with both sides of the war have made tangible progress on the implementation of the plan to redeploy their forces in Hodeidah.
There is significant progress towards Sweden’s agreement on Hodeidah between Yemen’s warring parties to carry out a first phase of redeployment, Griffith said in his tweeter page.
The Supreme Political Council and the National Salvation Government in Sana’a affirmed “the readiness for a unilateral implementation of the first phase of the redeployment plan before the intransigence of the another party represented by the coalition and its militias.”
