Meeting in Sanaa discusses mechanism to reduce damage to electricity network

SANAA, March 7 (YPA) – Minister of Electricity and Energy Lutf al-Marmozi on Thursday chaired a meeting in Sanaa to discuss a mechanism to reduce the damage to the national grid of electricity and preserve the property and capabilities of the electricity sector.

The meeting reviewed the problems in the electricity sector and the mechanism of developing work according to the regulations and laws governing the Ministry’s work.

The meeting dealt with the current pricing of electricity and ways to reduce violations and assaults on the national electricity grid and the phenomenon of random work of the private generators.

It was agreed in the meeting upon the formation of a committee from the Ministry of Electricity and Secretariat of the capital Sanaa to discuss issues related to the internal regulations governing the generators’ work.
