Car bomb explodes in central Mogadishu
SANAA, March 7 (YPA) – A car bomb exploded on Thursday near the presidential palace in the Somali capital Mogadishu.
According to France Press agency,” Somali security sources said that a strong explosion ripped amid the capital Mogadishu.
The Somali Radio Dalsan confirmed the detonation of a car bomb at a security checkpoint in the vicinity of the National Theater building, close to the presidential palace, without giving further details.
The radio station said there were fears of a number of deaths and material damage caused by the bombing, which was part of a series of attacks carried out by the “youth” Tkfiri in the Somali capital recently.
Somali President Mohamed Abdullah Faramago and his delegation returned to Mogadishu on Wednesday after a tour of Ethiopia and Kenya.
