Yellow Vests protesters continue their protests in France

SANAA, March 2 (YPA) – The Yellow Vests in France will come out again on Saturday for mass demonstrations for the 16th consecutive week.

The main figures of the movement seek for a major mobilization in March, which will witness  the end of the “great national dialogue”, which many “yellow Vests” protesters consider it  be a “farce.”

Activists on social media, during the weekend on March 9, especially on March 16,  called for a large rally in Paris on the day after the end of the “big debate” and four months after the demonstrations began.

President Emmanuel Macron, who is accused with all charges, called on Friday for “a return to calm,” saying the violence in Saturday’s demonstrations is “unacceptable.” He had called several times to calm in vain.

Macron’s policies faced with popular discontent which began in a protest against the increase in fees before turning to multiple demands.

On 15 January, he launched a national debate so that every Frenchman could express his claim within two months.

Many “Yellow Vests” protesters reject this debate, arguing that it is a “farce.”

The demonstrations, which have become traditional every Saturday, will take place throughout France, and in Paris there will be a demonstration between the Arc de Triomphe and Denver Rocherlo Square, as well as in several others cities.

In the northern city of Lille, organizers called on “Yellow Vests” protesters in the region and neighboring countries (Belgium, Germany, England, Luxembourg, Holland and Germany) to demonstrate in major cities.
