Pompeo: ISIS terrorist moves from Syria to Africa

SANAA, Feb. 7 (YPA) – US Secretary of State Mike Pompeo has claimed on Thursday that ISIS terrorist fighters were trying to crawl from Syria to African countries.

The move came during an interview with US Fox Business Channel.

Asked whether militants are feared to move from Syria to other countries? Yes, they are trying to do this, they have long been trying to escape and centralizes in Africa or in northern Libya,” he answered.

“Our mission is to prevent them from taking over the land, to keep the pressure on them, and to limit their financial capacity,” Pompeo said.

Alexander Venediktov, the Russian Security Council secretary’s assistant said earlier that part of the terrorists had moved to Africa after the defeat in Syria and Iraq, where the pockets of gangs were formed from the outlawed terrorist organizations ISIS and al-Qaeda.
