175 bakeries contrary to weights closed in Sanaa
SANAA, Feb. 3 (YPA) – Deputy Director General of the Office of Industry and Commerce in capital Sanaa said that “the campaigns of control field closed 175 bakeries contrary to weights and official prices in the various districts in the year 2018.
In an interview with the Yemeni Press Agency, Ali Abdul Aziz said that the field campaigns carried out by the Ministry of Industry, Trade and Local Authorities in the capital Sana’a achieved great success and returned the loaf to its natural weight.
Abdul Aziz pointed out that the field campaigns came as a result of the manipulation of loaves weights during the past year, and the increasing complaints of citizens against the greed of bakery owners.
He pointed out that the Ministry of Industry and Trade has determined the size of the baguette production with a weight of not less than 60 grams, the price per kilo for the consumer from the bakery or the outlets in the grocery stores and others at 320 riyals, and the price of the loaf for the consumer at 20 riyals.
