Syrian air defenses confront Israeli missiles targeting Mezzeh military airport

SANAA, Jan. 21 (YPA) – The Syrian air defenses launched on Monday morning, more than 15 missiles, which addressed the hostile targets over the capital Damascus and its countryside.

Syrian media sources confirmed that there was preliminary information indicating an attempt to target Al-Mezzeh military airport in the west of Damascus.

The sources explained that the Syrian air defenses continue to address the missiles of the Zionist enemy in the atmosphere of southern Syria and the perimeter of Damascus, pointing out that dozens of rockets have been launched so far.

The sources indicated that the sounds of explosions heard in the vicinity of the capital Damascus because of the Syrian air defenses responding to a series of hostile missiles launched by Israeli aircraft from Lebanese airspace, according to Sputnik Russian agency.
