SANAA, Jan. 10 (YPA) – At least three protesters were killed in demonstrations in Omdurman City, west of the capital Khartoum, the official Suna news agency reported Wednesday.
Omdurman city has witnessed riots and sporadic illegal gatherings with the police and security services under the law and dispersed using tear gas.”
“The police later received reports of injuries and three deaths under the supervision of the prosecution,” he said, adding that “the police is regretting these events.
A mass rally was held in Omdurman on Wednesday condemned the deteriorating situation in the country and demanded the resignation of President Omar Hassan al-Bashir in response to invitations from Sudanese authorities and parties.
Activists on social media sites said that security forces targeted protesters with live bullets, and posted footage showing attempted ambulance shots.
