Armed gang steals over one billion riyals in Aden

SANAA, Dec. 31 (YPA) – An armed gang on Sunday night looted more than one billion Yemeni riyals in the port city of Aden, southern Yemen, according to local sources.

The sources said that a group of unidentified gunmen attacked a car belonging to the Islamic Tadhamon Bank on the 90th street in central of the city of Aden, seized the money at gunpoint, and then fled.

The guards of the bank’s car stood helpless to protect the funds under the threat of arms, they added.
