Yemeni Journalists Union condemn decision to select Riyadh as Arab media capital

SANAA, Dec. 18 (YPA) – Yemen’s Journalists Union on Tuesday condemned a decision taken by Arab Information Ministers to select Riyadh as the capital of Arab media for 2019.

In a statement, the League said the decision confirmed a case of Arab states’ degeneration and collusion with Saudi Arabia’s crimes in Yemen and killing of Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi.

The union called on Arab media organizations to denounce the decision and to reveal the Saudi crimes and violations to the world’s opinion.

“Choice of the Saudi Arabia as capital of Arab media is an insult to all free media in Arab world and aims at carrying out conspiracy against the Arab nation,” the union added.
