Civilian Wounded In Armed Clashes In Shabwah

SHABWAH, Dec. 18 (YPA) – A civilian was wounded on Tuesday in armed clashes erupted between UAE-backed militia and troops loyal to exiled Hadi in Shabwah province, an official told Yemen Press Agency.

On Monday, the UAE-backed militiamen established new military checkpoints in Aataq city, stripping the citizens and soldiers loyal to Hadi of their personal weapons, the official said.

Shabwah province witnesses military tensions as a result of UAE-backed militias’ controlling over various oil fields including strategic oil Belhaf port.
