Gunmen storm security department, free detainees in Seiyun

SEIYUN, Dec. 15 (YPA) – Armed gunmen on Friday attacked a security department in Seiyun and fired towards security personnel to free elements were in custody in the department after refusing to release them, a security official told Yemen Press Agency.

According to the security the official, an armed group stormed the security department in Seiyun city and freed detainees charged with several cases.

The official said that the militants released detainees despite being involved in several issues due to the inability of the security troops to address and stop them.

Hadhramaut and its districts have been witnessing security chaos since the occupation forces took over the city in the second half of 2015.
