Qatar: We support any efforts to end the senseless war on Yemen

SANAA, Nov. 1 (YPA) – Qatar welcomed the call by the United States of America for a ceasefire in Yemen, within 30 days.

” Qatar welcomed the call by the United States of America for a ceasefire in Yemen, which is an encouraging step towards a political solution and an end to the suffering of the brotherly Yemeni people,” the Qatari foreign ministry said in a statement on Thursday, according to the Qatari newspaper Al-Sharq.

The statement said that t Qatar is fully supporting any efforts for national reconciliation and ending this senseless war, which is being endured by the brotherly Yemeni people, on the basis of the relevant Security Council resolutions, the Gulf initiative and the outcomes of the national dialogue.

The statement reiterated the firm position of Qatar on the Unity, independence and territorial integrity of Yemen, calling on the international community to assist the brotherly Yemeni people and to take all measures to address the grave humanitarian situation in all areas in Yemen.
