Syria: New Israeli incursion into Quneitra countryside coinciding with demonstrations condemning Israeli violations

DAMASCUS, Oct. 30 (YPA) – Israeli enemy forces again infiltrated the Quneitra countryside in southern Syria, on Friday, coinciding with popular demonstrations in the Damascus countryside condemning the Israeli incursions and violations.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights reported that enemy forces established a military checkpoint on the Jabata al-Khashab – Ain al-Bayda road and proceeded to thoroughly search passersby, which restricted civilian movement.

The Observatory noted that Israeli actions continue despite escalating popular rejection whereas the erection of checkpoints and restrictions on civilians coincide with protest demonstrations demanding an end to the violations, reflecting widespread local anger over the continuation of these practices and the restrictions they impose, which affect the security and stability of residents’ lives, with no indication of any cessation.
