Israeli occupation launches demolition campaign in Umm Nmeila village

OCCUPIED PALESTINE, Oct. 05 (YPA) – Large forces of occupation police, accompanied by vehicles and bulldozers, raided the Arab al-Ziyadna area in the unrecognized village of Umm Nmeila, north of Rahat in the Negev, southern occupied Palestine, on Monday.

Palestinian sources reported a state of tension among residents following the raid, without any clear details yet about the targeted buildings.

The operation comes amid a continuous escalation of demolition operations in unrecognized Negev villages, whose residents face demolition orders in the absence of structural plans that allow for legal construction.

Umm Nmeila is one of the villages that has witnessed repeated raids and house demolitions, forcing owners to demolish their own homes, amid protests against the policy of targeting the Arab presence in the Negev.
