Sanaa Foreign Ministry: Saudi regime poses greatest risk to Islamic holy sites, unfit to manage Two Holy Mosques

SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the Sanaa government stated that the Saudi regime is attempting to repeat its false narrative regarding Islamic holy sites, taking advantage of their religious status and sanctity.

In an official statement released on Friday, the Ministry affirmed that Yemen has consistently made sacrifices to defend these holy sites.

The statement noted that the Saudi Kingdom is in no position to level allegations against Yemen, adding that these accusations follow reported secret meetings between Saudi representatives and Israeli occupation officials in a neighboring country.

The Foreign Ministry in Sanaa emphasized that the Saudi regime, which exercises control over Mecca and Medina, represents the greatest risk to the nation’s sacred sites, adding that it is neither qualified nor trusted to manage the Two Holy Mosques.

The Ministry further characterized the commercialization of the holy sites into an investment project by the Saudi regime as a grave offense against Islamic sanctities.
