Yemen Scholars Association denies Saudi claims regarding Medina power plant

SANAA, Oct. 02 (YPA) – The Yemen Scholars Association has rejected claims by Saudi authorities alleging that Yemeni forces targeted a power plant in Medina, describing the statements as baseless allegations.

In an official statement released on Thursday, the association stated that the claim falls within a pattern of recurring accusations, condemning what it described as the improper use of the religious sanctity of Mecca and Medina to support political narratives.

The association called on the Islamic world to denounce the persistent use of holy sites in political disputes and to hold Saudi authorities accountable for such statements.
