Massive march held in Romania in support of Palestinian people’s steadfastness

BUCHAREST, Sept. 27 (YPA) – Bucharest witnessed a sit-in followed by a march in the capital city center on Saturday, September 26, organized by the Romania-Palestine Solidarity Association and with the participation of Romanian supporters and members of the Palestinian community, in solidarity with the Palestinian people and to highlight the humanitarian situation in Gaza and the West Bank.

 

Activists affirmed their solidarity and spoke about the civilian casualties in Gaza, settler attacks, and policies of displacement and forced eviction, recalling the Tantura and Deir Yassin massacres.

 

In addition, participants called on the international community to assume its responsibilities and criticized international silence.

 

They also launched an initiative demanding that the United Nations take a firm stance and hold those responsible accountable, stressing that boycotting Netanyahu’s speech is not enough.
