Light earthquake recorded in Bayda

BAYDA, Sept. 13 (YPA) – A slight earthquake measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale was recorded south of Rada’a city of Bayda province.

The Yemeni Center for Monitoring and Studying Earthquakes and Volcanoes in Dhamar said that the tremor occurred at 11:55 a.m. local time.

According to Mohammed Al-Houthi, the head of the center, the earthquake occurred at a shallow depth of five kilometers.

The center said the tremor was recorded at 11:55 a.m. south of Rada’a, at a depth of five kilometers, measuring 2.3 on the Richter scale.
