Sanaa authorities begin implementing amnesty for western coast fighters

SANAA, Sept. 10 (YPA) – The local authorities in Hodeida and Taiz provinces, affiliated with the Sanaa government, have begun making field and operational arrangements to implement directives issued by President of the Supreme Political Council Mahdi Mohammad al-Mashat, regarding a presidential amnesty for all fighters on the western coast front who lay down their weapons and “return to the right path.”

The Hodeidah local authority said in a statement that it had opened its doors to receive all recruits stationed in Saudi-funded camps along the western coast, urging them to take advantage of the presidential amnesty, leave the fronts and return to their families.

It said the amnesty reflects a commitment to preventing bloodshed, restoring unity and promoting social peace. It also voiced support for the Yemeni Armed Forces’ recent battlefield gains amid what it described as Saudi military movements and mobilization.

Meanwhile, the Taiz local authority said it had begun identifying and securing safe routes to facilitate the return of recruits to their villages and homes.

The authority urged recruits to return promptly and disregard what it described as rumors spread by Saudi-backed leaders. It pledged to make the necessary arrangements for their reintegration into society and to ensure their safety as they resume their normal lives.

The Hodeida and Taiz local authorities also called on residents to strengthen unity, rally around the leadership and armed forces, and remain steadfast in the face of what they described as Saudi efforts to thwart the liberation of the remaining occupied areas.
