Iran’s central command warns US military against any attempt to target Iranian vessels

TEHRAN, Sept. 06 (YPA) – Iran’s Central Khatam al-Anbiya Command Headquarters on Saturday warned the U.S. military against continuing its hostile actions and restricting the movement of Iranian vessels.

In a statement, the headquarters stressed that any attempt to impose a naval blockade on Iran would be met with strikes “harsher and more severe” than those carried out previously.

A spokesman for the Central Command said continued efforts by the U.S. military leadership to obstruct maritime traffic involving Iranian vessels and impose a naval blockade would place U.S. military units in the region at risk of direct and heavy strikes by Iran’s armed forces.

He said the response by the Islamic Republic of Iran’s armed forces would not be limited to intensifying attacks on U.S. bases and military units in the region, but could also involve expanding the scope of such operations and identifying new targets.

The spokesman held Washington responsible for the consequences of escalating maritime provocations.
