IRGC targets three oil tankers, three US-linked vessels

TEHRAN, Sept. 06 (YPA) – Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy said on Saturday that it had targeted three oil tankers traveling along an unauthorized route in the Strait of Hormuz, as well as three US-linked vessels.

According to Iran’s Tasnim News Agency, the IRGC Navy said in a statement that the aggressive and terrorist U.S. military attacked three oil tankers belonging to the Islamic Republic of Iran early Saturday in a brutal move stemming from Washington’s inability to close the Strait of Hormuz.

The attack caused material damage, the statement said.

In response to the attack, the IRGC Navy said it targeted three oil tankers traveling along an illegal route in the Strait of Hormuz, along with three U.S.-linked vessels in other areas.
