Ansarullah official comments on growing public anger against Riyadh in southern, eastern Yemen
SANAA, Sept. 03 (YPA) – A member of Ansarullah’s Political Bureau in Sanaa, Mohammed Al-Farah, commented Wednesday on growing unrest across southern and eastern Yemen, where protesters have torn down, burned and trampled images of Saudi leaders, including Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
“Saudi Arabia has no place in northern or southern Yemen,” Mohammed Al-Farah wrote on X, adding that all Yemenis have suffered from Riyadh’s policies.
Al-Farah also issued a direct warning to Riyadh-backed forces, asserting that “those who follow Saudi Arabia will meet the same fate as the Afghan puppet government, which the Americans fled from and abandoned at the airports.”
He attached video footage to his post showing demonstrators in southern Yemen tearing down, burning, and trampling portraits of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman—a display reflecting mounting public anger over Riyadh’s role in the region.

The footage comes as opposition to Saudi influence and foreign intervention grows across Yemen’s southern and eastern provinces, with calls to expel foreign forces and end Riyadh’s role in the region intensifying.
