Remains of 12 Palestinians recovered from rubble of bombed home in Gaza

GAZA, Aug. 16 (YPA) – Gaza’s civil defense service said Saturday that the remains of 12 Palestinian martyrs were recovered from beneath the rubble of a house bombed by the Israeli occupation army during the genocidal war.

Civil defense official Abdullah Majdalawi said that rescue teams recovered the remains of 12 civilians from a house belonging to the al‑Batniji family in the Asqula area of Gaza City’s az‑Zeitoun neighborhood.

He added that the teams also started recovering the bodies of victims from the al‑Maghribi family home in the same area.

“Israel” has committed hundreds of massacres during its war on Gaza, deliberately destroying homes and bombing them while their residents were still inside. The attacks have killed more than 73,000 Palestinians and injured over 174,000 since October 7, 2023.

Civil defense teams are using rudimentary equipment to recover the bodies of thousands of Palestinians still trapped beneath the rubble of destroyed buildings, as Israel continues to prevent the entry of the machinery and equipment needed to retrieve them.
