“Israel” intensifies attacks on southern Lebanon with white phosphorus, airstrikes

BEIRUT, Aug. 16 (YPA) – The Zionist entity has renewed its direct bombardment of several areas in southern Lebanon, using internationally prohibited weapons and carrying out successive airstrikes.

Lebanese sources reported that Israeli occupation forces targeted the strategic Ali al-Taher heights in southern Lebanon’s Nabatieh district with artillery and white phosphorus munitions.

The sources added that Israeli warplanes launched a series of airstrikes on the area between Ali al-Taher Heights and the Dabsha area in the Nabatieh district, as well as targeting al-Dabsha hill near Kfar Roummane in the same district.

Meanwhile, Israeli artillery continued to shell southern Lebanon, targeting the town of Mansouri in the Tyre District and causing extensive damage in the area.
