BEIRUT, Aug. 15 (YPA) – The Lebanese Ministry of Health announced, on Saturday evening, that the death toll from Israeli air raids on towns in southern Lebanon has risen to 11 martyrs and 19 wounded.
In a statement carried by the National News Agency, the ministry explained that a raid on Deir Zahrani in the Nabatieh district resulted in a final toll of 4 martyrs and 17 wounded, including a child and 11 women.
Following another raid on the town of Ansar in the same district, the total toll from today’s attacks has risen to 11 martyrs and 19 wounded, including children and women.
Since March 2, the occupation has escalated its aggression against Lebanon, targeting towns, villages, and civilian infrastructure, resulting in hundreds of martyrs, thousands of wounded, and the displacement of approximately 1.5 million Lebanese.
Pakistani Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced on June 18 that a memorandum of understanding had been reached between Washington and Tehran, which included a ceasefire on all fronts, including Lebanon. However, the occupying forces continue their daily violations of the agreement.
