Sanaa Foreign Ministry warns Saudi Arabia: “Cost of peace today is lower than its future cost”

SANAA, Aug. 13 (YPA) – The Yemeni Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sanaa warned the Saudi regime on Thursday against continued procrastination regarding peace entitlements, emphasizing that delaying solutions will not keep the cost of conflict at its current level, but will double it for the aggressor over time.

In an official statement, the ministry stated that the motivations driving Riyadh’s foreign policy are rooted in “arrogance, ambitions, grudges, and dependency.” It pointed out that Saudi Arabia’s negative interventions in Yemen have been permanently turned and will not return, adding that failure to acknowledge this reality would lead to the erosion of its ruling system.

The ministry attributed the ongoing targeting of Saudi facilities, shipping, and influence to a lack of credible and fair engagement since the de-escalation phase began. It stressed that past decades have seen Riyadh play a primary role in creating crises in Yemen, culminating in comprehensive aggression.

The statement concluded by reaffirming that “the cost of peace at present remains significantly lower than its future cost.”
