Sanaa forces detail major military operation targeting large Saudi troop concentrations in eastern Yemen

SANAA, Aug. 06 (YPA) – Sanaa forces announced on Thursday the execution of a large-scale, qualitative military operation targeting substantial Saudi military concentrations in the areas of Al-Ruwayk, Al-Abr, Al-Thaniyah, and other camps belonging to the so-called “1st and 3rd Emergency Regiments”.

Military spokesperson Brigadier General Yahya Sarie stated in an official military statement that the operation was carried out using a significant number of ballistic missiles and drones.

According to the statement, the strikes resulted in the death and injury of hundreds of Saudi-backed forces, the destruction and burning of numerous camps, staging areas, and weapons depots in the Al-Wadeah area in the eastern part of the country, as well as the destruction of a large number of military vehicles stationed in the targeted bases.

The statement warned the Saudi military against any “reckless action” targeting the country and its people, holding Riyadh accountable for any escalation. It further advised local fighters aligned with the Saudi-led coalition to leave the Saudi military camps and return to their home regions.

The armed forces reaffirmed to the Yemeni public their full readiness to counter any Saudi escalation, calling for continued mobilization to resist potential offensive actions and to target troop concentrations wherever they are located.

The statement also reiterated the commitment to maintaining the “blockade-for-blockade” equation until the blockade is lifted.
